In October, during Dyslexia Awareness Month, the Ontario Human Rights Commission (OHRC) released a new video that provides a snapshot of the progress of Right to Read inquiry. The OHRC launched its public inquiry into human rights issues affecting students with reading disabilities in Ontario’s public education system one year ago, and plans to release it’s report in spring 2021.
The video features the real-life experiences of students and parents, who attended public sessions across Ontario in the past year, and artwork submitted by students to the inquiry. Many of the people featured in this video are active in the Decoding Dylslexia community.
